We all need to retreat from our busy lives sometimes. A Yoga Retreat helps you connect with your true self; mind, body and soul.
The retreats take place in beautiful locations, with gorgeous views, surrounded by nature. You can expect nourishing yoga practices, nurturing meditations, delicious food and time for rest and relaxation.
Overview of the day
Yoga & Flow
Experience the different qualities of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space starting with some gentle, grounding yoga movements we will slowly build the energy as we explore the elements.
Breath, Mantra & Meditation
Harness the breath and quieten the mind using yoga breathing, chanting and meditation techniques. Come inwards to a place of strength, stillness and space.
Rest & Relaxation
Restorative Yoga, the sound of Tibetan bowls and a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) session will leave you rested, refreshed and revitalised .
Special guest teacher "Curvaceous Carla" will be leading a KundaDance sesssion. Working through the chakras (energy centres in the body) this fun, uplifting, dance workout is a creative movement class combining Kundalini Yoga, Thai Chi and Qi Gong and is sure to get the circulation going!
Lunch & Refreshments
After savouring a delicious, nutritious lunch, there will be plenty of time and space for you to relax and nurture your body. Refreshments and snacks are included.
Jacuzzi / Sauna
We will have use of the hotel's pool, jacuzzi and sauna for the day. There will be time for a dip after lunch or you could arrive early or stay late to make the most of these facilities should you wish to.
Get outside and breathe in the fresh countryside air. Walk amongst the trees or sit in one of the outside patio areas to enjoy the elements around you, first hand.

Located in the beautiful Hampshire countryside adjacent to Marwell Wildlife Park, Marwell Hotel is a colonial styled lodge set amongst surrounding woodland.
How much does it cost?
An investment of £85 is required for the day (£79 if you book and pay before 7th August)
This can be made in one payment or as an initial deposit and then a second payment for the balance.
Full payment must be received by 10th September 2022.
A whole day of yoga and wellbeing guided by Jo Welch of Ananda Yoga.
A dedicated, airy, quiet room separate to the rest of the hotel.
Additional yoga props (bolsters, blocks and blankets) will be available to borrow.
Sessions will include aspects of Hatha Yoga, meditation, pranayama, chanting, Kundalini Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
Break out area with teas, coffee, cordials and snacks.
A deliciously nourishing buffet lunch in the Dining Room.
Use of the hotels leisure facilities (swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna).
Access to the surrounding woodland.
What's not included?
Travel to and from the venue (do say if you are interested in car sharing).
I recommend you bring your own yoga mat to build energy on (if you have your own personal blocks, blankets and bolsters, please bring them along too).
Terms & Conditions
All sales for Ananda Yoga Retreats are final and refunds or exchanges will only be granted as required by law. If you cancel more than 14 days ahead of the retreat, your payments will be refunded less the deposit. Any cancellations within 14 days of the retreat will be non-refundable. Customers may re-sell or transfer lawfully acquired tickets at face value or less to another student and should inform Jo of the change of name.
If this retreat needs to be postponed due to COVID-19, bookings and payments will be fully transferable to a new date. If you are unable to attend on the new date, your payments will be refunded.
